get your skin ready for springSpring is, well, springing right now, and us beauty buffs can’t wait to get our glow on! Unfortunately, while our spirits are singing the new season’s praises, our skin still has a serious case of the winter blues. Perk things up and get in bloom with these skin-saving tips.

Exfoliate

The first step to any successful skincare spring cleaning is sloughing away dulling, dead skin cells, gunk, and grime to reveal the radiant, smooth skin that lies beneath. We love Environs’ Revival Masque, which not only expertly exfoliates but also offers an amazing brightening effect, thanks to mandelic, asiatic and lactic acids. For best results, exfoliate in the evening, which removes impurities you picked up during the day and gives your skin time to recover away from the sun’s harsh rays.

Vitaminize!

Vitamin A
Also known as retinol, Vitamin A is essential for supporting a host of health and wellness functions, including vision, skin cell repair and collagen production, bone growth, and the immune system. Add this amazing vitamin to your skincare regimen with Environ’s Ionzyme C-Quence Moisturizer.

Vitamin C
Vitamin C has a number of skin-brightening benefits, but you won’t get them from a glass of OJ. Rub them in twice daily with Environ’s C Boost Serum.

Moisturize, Moisturize, Moisturize

At least twice a day—post shower in the AM and again at night before you go to bed. In the morning, reach for a lighter moisturizer with added SPF protection (we like Image Skincare’s Prevention + Daily Matte Moisturizer SPF 32). At night, try a thicker formulation, like Environ’s Avance Moisturizer, which contains hyaluronic acid and peptides that plump and hydrate skin from the inside out.

Hydrate

Dehydration is the leading cause of dry, tight, and flaky skin. Drink at least eight glasses of water every day to help increase blood flow to your skin and give you a radiant, healthy complexion.
